The focus of my art practice is creative manipulation of glass by kiln forming. Kiln forming entails designing, cutting, grinding and piecing specialised glass and firing it in a kiln using various heating programs, often more than once, to a specific temperature. The long final cooling stages use particular programs to ensure strength and viability. Post firing I often combine fused glass with mixed media in two and three dimensional artworks.
My design ideas are inspired by natural forms and processes integrated with interpretations of real and imaginary states and their connectedness.
