“This series of large-scale abstract landscape paintings focuses on the light and colour associated with a place of personal significance. The works speak of feeling and wellbeing formed through a lifetime of connection within this landscape, and are an exploration of how landscape itself is imbued with intangible memories.  The work seeks to recreate through paint an abstracted landscape that more accurately depicts memory space, than a physical depiction of a place.  An expression of intangible thoughts, experiences, and feelings, a dwelling place of emotional memory space. Interweaving landscape and memory, emotional and physical expression. The paintings are an outward expression felt experience within the landscape, a remembering of a place on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Tasmania.”
