Patricia Giles

People keep asking if I’m still painting as if I should have retired gracefully. That is definitely not on my agenda. I’m wonderfully lucky to have a friend take me to beloved places where I can renew my experience of the feeling of the landscape. It has become too difficult to work en plain air but my smart-phone stores the memories. Back in the studio I won’t copy the photo but it can be a useful reference to spark me off. Art -making never loses its challenges and rewards and continues to be my all-consuming passion in a life well-lived.
