Art for me, is about emotion. It’s the connection I feel to a time or a place. I may be drawn to render abstract landscapes with their textures, colours and mood. Or perhaps I’ll reconstruct objects from the past - those that speak to me visually or tangibly. A rusty lock, a broken pocket watch or an old photograph each tell a story. My aim is to capture the object’s essence and create a new narrative. By doing so I hope to communicate thoughts and feelings that evoke an emotional response from the viewer.
