Lynne Hasenkam

My work this year is in two parts.

One part of it looks back to my first overseas experience. The memories of floating through history; ancient ruins and hilltop castles, villages clustered at their feet – each one dominated by its church spire.  Wonky old buildings graced with the patina of age. Pastel colours, tiled roofs, flower boxes, decorative flourishes and touches of gold make every village a delight to the senses, embodying life on a very human scale. (No litter, no depressing grey buildings.)

The second part features works on paper referencing the looming climate catastrophe unfolding before our eyes.
