Tim Waller an original member of Images of Tasmania was an art educator and a skilled painter. He lectured at the School of Art in Hobart before relocating to do the same in Adelaide. Never abandoning his love of Tasmania, he returned routinely to paint his beloved countryside. A painter’s painter, of real significance, Tim’s participation in Images will be sorely missed.
Sue was involved with Images of Tasmania since its inception, contributing significantly to the administration but, more significantly, to the quality of each exhibition. Her achievements in music, printmaking and education were nothing short of inspirational.
(1914 - 2017)
Max Angus was Tasmania’s most senior artist, working and exhibiting till his death. His was acknowledged in a large retrospective of his work at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery on the occasion of his 90th birthday. His commitment to art, environmental issues and his own painting practice was inspirational. He supported Images of Tasmania over many years and we mourn his passing.
