Helen Jessup

My focus is Wild Tasmania, featuring both landforms and the effects of our dynamic climate interpreted either in the studio or “En Plein Air”.

I generally paint in oils, using both stretched canvas and paper however I have been exploring the potential of watercolours more recently. Watercolour offers the capacity to capture fleeting imagery that characterises the volatile moody environment where Nature rules.

Since commencing painting in the mid-1990s I have participated annually in a range of competitions and exhibitions, both group and solo. I completed my BA Fine Arts in 2018.

I am a member of the Huon Art Exhibition Group showing in the Lovett Gallery, Cygnet. My work may also be viewed in Richmond at Amaze and Molly’s Run Cider.
