 The Little Things

It has been a year of upheaval, both personally and globally. Perspectives change, confidence is diminished, uncertainty becomes entrenched and imagination recedes. Covid lockdown changes my focus to my surroundings, daily routines and the little things normally overlooked. These things take on a new significance, new symbols and new metaphors for our changing circumstances. The disintegrating autumn leaves lying in the gutter, the beauty of a lost rosella tail feather, the sadness of a perfect bird dead in the dust. My Covid Journal helped me re-establish a creative routine, giving expression to things seen, thought and felt on a daily basis. This helped to re-activate the imaginative and creative art practise. So pause and enjoy the “The Little Things”
