Images of Tasmania

My work is based around drawing in a variety of mediums on a variety of papers. The format is long lengths of paper pinned to the wall in an installation style layout. The subject matter includes images of natural objects I’ve collected in my daily life from various locations: walking the dog in the bush and from the beach after swimming in the sea. These are combined with abstracted gestural marks and layered together in various ways. The idea is to illustrate the complex diversity and beauty of nature when it is confronted with the harsh realities inflicted by human activity and climate change.
