Making Art has always been a part of my life. I love shapes; the shapes I see in Nature.  I re- construct a scene; am inspired by a meandering river or craggy mountains. When painting out in the open I enjoy the silence and accept the challenge of our uncertain weather. I mentally plan and then begin with water colour; I draw into the wet paint with soft pastels, charcoal and ink sticks. The drawing over colour becomes an important structural part of the scene as it strengthens the sense of composition.
