In the last few years, my art practice has shifted from installation photography to painting and mark making with acrylics, pencils and found objects. This has given me a new sense of freedom in my work. I like to paint intuitively while exploring the medium and embracing the endless aesthetic of colour.
I am inspired by Kandinsky’s desire to create art that spoke to a universal sense of spirituality and often find in my work, out of the random brush strokes, other entities appear. I find this curiously comforting.
