Images of Tasmania

My approach to my art practice is experimental and I have created observations of both my immediate environment and the Tasmanian landscape. By using gold and silver leaf and transparent oil glazes I have aimed to capture transparency and luminosity of nature.

In some of my works I have incorporated intaglio prints, torn papers and other textural materials working into them with oil paint or creating embossed surfaces. This approach has enabled me to develop tactile and organic surface qualities and create a decorative response to my chosen imagery.
