Decades of art education in colleges and TMAG keeps me in awe of the role our creativity plays. Making and appreciating attune us to life. Weirdly, Covid has heightened our emotional capacity to see more acutely, listen more deeply and feel the more nuanced aspects of our various experiences and realities. Artists reflect shifting social attitudes around equity, justice, kindness. Evils linger but we speak of better societies. The language of the intellect gives space to that of the heart and imagination - less pretentious and more tuned to real people. Dare we hope?
