​I work as a printmaker creating unique-state monoprints. Inspired in particular by Tasmania’s seascapes, I work intuitively connecting my memories and impressions of a place, creating a balance between abstraction and representation. My monoprinting method involves several stages of printing until I achieve a work that invokes in me the sensations of being in a particular place. My images may be ambiguous and nuanced and, coupled with their monochromatic blues, they invite viewers to respond imaginatively by connecting their own experiences and thoughts to the works.
