Susan Lacey

In the spirit of embracing art and nature for health, I spent time studying the colours of the sea and sky off the east coast of Tasmania and recreating them in fabric. Taking inspiration from the seascapes of Sugimoto, and the colour blocks of Rothko I assembled the fabrics into this large quilt. Hours of meditative stitching followed, allowing me to replay the colours of nature in my mind.
